Take Your Dog to Work?

The Animal Humane Society of America has reported that over 78.2 million dogs are part of families in the U.S. Think of all the pups that we have to leave at home when we go to work every day! However, that statistic is slowly starting to decline as more and more companies are allowing dog companions in the office, and JETPUBS is one of them!

Allowing dogs in your work space can be beneficial to not only the dog owner, but to other employees and the company overall!

  • Alleviate Stress! We have all had that day: A tight deadline, a crucial meeting. It’s a proven fact that dogs can provide therapy, comfort, and unconditional love. It’s impossible to stay in a bad mood when a dog runs up to you just wanting to be pet and be your friend. Spending a few minutes with the pet can allow you to take your mind off of the stress trigger, regroup, and refocus on the task at hand.

  • Increase physical activity! Your dog needs to get up and walk, and that gets you up and walking! Walking is an effective way to promote better health and wellbeing in the office, but sometimes we are just too busy to get up and do it. Having your dog with you gives you that extra boost to get up and move.

  • Building Office Camaraderie! Having dogs in the office is a great ice breaker. Employees that are usually quiet and timid will most likely come out of their shell when a pet is around.

  • Happier Employees! Happier employees produce positive work results!

JosieAs a reminder, Friday, June 26, 2015 is National Take Your Dog to Work Day. This may be a great chance for you and your dog to make an office visit for the day!

Oh, and I could not pass up this opportunity to introduce my beautiful golden retriever named Josephine (Josie for short)!
