JETPUBS is excited to welcome our newest team member, Kristina Larson! With her background in aviation safety and aircraft maintenance, Kristina is an excellent fit in her new position as a Technical Writer in our Manuals Department.
Growing up with a Father who was a Navy Aircraft Mechanic, Kristina was inspired at a young age to explore aviation. Kristina also served in the Navy for four years, as an Aircraft Mechanic. After leaving the Navy, Kristina continued working in aviation in different flight schools, charter, and maintenance departments before pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication from UW-Stout and a Master’s Degree in Safety Science with an emphasis Aircraft Accident Investigation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
As she joins the JETPUBS team, Kristina is looking forward to being able to combine her experience from both of her degrees into her new position. “It’s really the best of both worlds,” said Kristina. “I’m excited to be able to place my focus on manuals as I apply my experience with both aviation and technical writing.”
Outside of work, Kristina enjoys spending time with her two bulldogs, Butch and Maggie. She is also an active volunteer for The Pet Project – a Midwest organization that helps provide resources for those in need to be able to keep their pets. It was through volunteering for other shelters and similar pet organizations that Kristina originally fostered her now youngest bulldog Maggie. In her free time Kristina also enjoys snowshoeing and the occasional 5K run.
